This decorticating machine produces marunuki (hulled buckwheat) by removing the husk from unpolished buckwheat.
The buckwheat is husked by the upper and lower diamond-coated mortars.
The spacing between the mortars can be easily adjusted to fit the size of the grain by operating the handle.

The two methods of removing husks of the unpolished buckwheat are; 1) breaking the husks and separating them, and 2) peeling the husks with as little breakage to the buckwheat as possible (nukimi, marunuki, or round grain).
The latter method tends to be more often used these days, but we can propose appropriate technologies and equipment according to your budget and requests.
